Some Life Sketching

Somehow I always end up drawing my brother playing video games.

Okay, how about some paintings?

My first exercise for Life Studies Drawing and Painting. A confident bald mannequin woman looks over the proverbial shoulder.

I paint the world as I see it, and in my view jackets are monstrous freaks of nature. When I showed my brother, he thought it looked like a drowning cat. (Of course, to him everything looks like a drowning cat.)

Alright, here's the full version of my banner image. Saving jpg's from Photoshop makes the colors go, "Blaah." Oh, well.

Revised my BBQ label... a lot. Apparently BBQ labels aren't supposed to be cutesy. Obviously. (Hey, I would totally buy BBQ sauce with a cutesy label!) Every time I look at this, the opening theme for the Oregon Trail II starts playing in my head. I suppose that's a good thing.

BBQ Ideas

One of my sketches for my fake Coyote Canyon BBQ label. Isn't he adorable? I think I'll call him Steve. (And, yes, the bees' wings are popping off as they fly into the sun. Very tragic.)

Victorian Portrait

Victorian style portraits are fun... I was actually trying to do a self-portrait, but it ended up looking nothing like me. This is me if I had a ridiculously pointy nose and ideally auburn hair.

Magazine Design

I just finished a magazine layout for my Graphic Design class, using an article about the playwright Martin McDonagh, author of "The Pillowman," among other freaky plays.
